Degree in Electrical Engineering from Zentralschweizer Technikum
Luzern (HTL)

Started developing embedded software and hardware for control systems and measurement instruments, and later focused on design and industrialization of novel PCB concepts

2000

Joined u-blox as Manager Technical Support and built up u-blox’ global technical support organization from scratch to an organization with first level support in Europe, North America, various Asia countries, and a
second level support team in Switzerland

2001

Degree in Wirtschaftsingenieur STV from Bern University of Applied Sciences – Post-graduate studies in business administration with focus on marketing management

2007

Took over responsibility for product management and marketing for u-blox’ entire product portfolio as VP Product Marketing.

2009

Co-developed strategy of entering the cellular module business through an acquisition, sought Executive Committee and Board of Directors approval, defined and launched the 2G and 3G module portfolio

Launched u-blox 6 GPS chips and modules to become u-blox’ first de-facto standard in industrial and automotive markets

2013

Assumed responsibility for Product Strategy Positioning team responsible for strategy, business models, product roadmap, product specification and marketing for u-blox’ GNSS receiver portfolio

Launched u-blox M8 GNSS chips and modules to the market, which replaced u-blox 6 as the de-facto standard in industrial and automotive markets

2015

Identified highly automated driving as future growth market, established partnership with lead OEM and lead customer for the creation of the world’s first functionally safe GNSS receiver

2018

Launched u-blox F9, the world’s first mass-market RTK receiver, disrupting the high precision industries and opening new applications

2019

2020

Joined dammven GmbH as Partner and Consultant

2021

Completed Rochester-Bern’s international executive program with a Master of Business Management (MBA) degree from the Simon Business School, University of Rochester (USA) and a EMBA degree from the University of Bern (Switzerland)
